The installers for dime[tt], dime[ms], and dime[mb] are available in the customer portal. Each plugin has its own installer for macOS and Windows.

Download the installers

1. Sign in to the customer portal. If you do not have an account yet, see the account management guide.
2. Open the Plugins tab.
3. Next to the plugin you want to install, download the macOS or Windows installer.

You can download installers without a paid license to start a 7-day trial. If you bought a plugin from a marketplace, redeem your voucher first — see Redeem a marketplace purchase.

What the installer includes

Each installer lets you choose which plugin formats to install:

• macOS: VST3, Audio Unit (AU), and AAX
• Windows: VST3 and AAX (64-bit)

A full installation includes every format available on that platform. Choose a custom installation if you only need the formats your DAW uses.

Every installer also installs the Plugin Finder Utility. This helper application scans for third-party VST3 plugins on both platforms, and Audio Units on macOS, so dime can host them. It is required and is installed automatically.

Install on macOS

1. Open the downloaded .pkg installer.
2. Follow the prompts and accept the license.
3. Keep the full installation, or customize it to select only the formats you need. The Plugin Finder Utility stays selected.
4. Authenticate with an administrator password when macOS asks.
5. Rescan plugins in your DAW so it picks up the new formats.

Installed files on macOS

These files are installed for the plugin you ran the installer for, for example dime[tt]:

Replace dime [tt] with dime [ms] or dime [mb] for the other plugins.

Configuration files on macOS

Settings, presets, and logs are created the first time you open the plugin. They are not removed if you delete the plugin files:

• Plugin settings and presets: ~/Library/Application Support/time off audio/dime [tt]/
• Shared plugin scan list: ~/Library/Application Support/time off audio/known_plugins.xml

To uninstall, delete the plugin files in the table above. Delete the matching configuration folder if you want a clean removal. Only delete the Plugin Finder Utility if you are uninstalling every dime plugin.

Install on Windows

1. Open the downloaded installer (.exe). Windows 10 or later, 64-bit, is required.
2. Follow the prompts and accept the license.
3. Keep the full installation, or choose a custom installation to select VST3 and/or AAX. The Plugin Finder Utility is always installed.
4. Approve the administrator prompt.
5. Rescan plugins in your DAW so it picks up the new formats.

Installed files on Windows

Install locations cannot be changed. These files are installed for the plugin you ran the installer for, for example dime[tt]:

Replace dime [tt] with dime [ms] or dime [mb] for the other plugins.

The installer also creates a VST3 data link at C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\dime [tt]Data, which points to C:\ProgramData\dime [tt].

Configuration files on Windows

Settings, presets, and logs are created the first time you open the plugin:

• Plugin settings and presets: C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\time off audio\dime [tt]\
• Shared plugin scan list: C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\time off audio\known_plugins.xml

To uninstall, open the Start menu and run Uninstall dime [tt] (or the matching plugin name). That removes the plugin files. Configuration files in your user profile are left behind so your settings survive a reinstall — delete them manually if you want a complete removal. Only delete the Plugin Finder Utility if you are uninstalling every dime plugin.

After installation

The first time you open the plugin, activate your license or start a trial from inside the plugin.

If the plugin does not appear in your DAW, confirm you installed the format your DAW uses, then rescan. If scanning for hosted plugins fails on Windows, see the FAQ. For anything else, contact support.
